- Connect with Jesus
Our worship services are the highlight of the week at Hillvue, as our people gather in praise to celebrate the work of God in our lives. We have four weekly worship services, including three on Sunday morning.
The Hillvue Worship Choir is made up of all ages and 100+ singers that lead all three of our worship services complete with a live band and praise team. Practice is Wednesday nights from 8:00PM until 9:00PM. Come and be a part of this vital ministry at Hillvue. For more information, please contact Pastor Keith Scarborough.
Most of the musical worship at Hillvue Heights Church is led by its five separate Sunday morning teams and four Wednesday teams. Each team is made up of vocalists and a full live band. The individual teams bring their own musical flavor, but all are centered around Christ-honoring worship. The praise teams are auditioned only, and all vocalists are now chosen from our Hillvue Worship Choir.
Hillvue Heights Church strives to use today's media and technology to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Our media & technology ministry consists of volunteers that serve during worship and throughout the week in a variety of roles. Find out more about Hillvue's Media Ministry

Many people go through divorces every day, and they are painful and confusing for those involved. Divorce Care is designed to help people going through the pain of divorce by providing an atmosphere of caring support with other friendly people who are going through similar situations. This group meets on Monday nights at 6:30pm, and there's a concurrent "Divorce Care for Kids" class for the children that encourages children in divorcing families.
Hillvue Heights Church has been instrumental in planting and supporting other churches and ministries. Our current outreaches include the Church on Main at 901 West Main Street. This is a joint effort with First Baptist Church that launched in April and has an 11 a.m. Worship Service each week serving the west side of town. You can read the article about it in the Daily News.
The Young Adult Ministry of Hillvue Heights church is a growing, vibrant, passionate community at Hillvue. This ministry is for people (post-graduate through about 35) desiring to know Jesus more and make Him known locally, nationally, and globally. If you are single person or a young married couple looking for a way to connect in worship, fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and serving at Hillvue with other people in similar seasons of life then we would like to invite you to join us.
The Young Adult Ministry provides opportunities for you to grow in your relationship with Jesus, your relationships with others, and to share the gospel. It consists of people desiring to radically follow after Jesus, however are mature to share struggles, prayers, and questions that many of us are asking but may be to afraid to vocalize.
If you have been following Jesus for years, a new believer, or just wanting to learn more about the person and work of Jesus Christ, then there is a place for you in the Young Adult Ministry. Keep an eye on the bulletin and calendar here to learn about opportunities to build relationships with people your age, to engage in fellowship (through trips to Holiday World, Predators Games, cookouts, etc.), to join in service projects, and to participate in mission trips.
Pastoral care embodies healing, sustaining, guiding, and reconciling. Our pastoral care team handles visitations, senior adult ministry, greeting, and other functions of our church related to caring for each other. More about Pastoral Care ...
One of Hillvue's core values is to passionately enjoy the ministry. First Connections is a fun way to fulfill this core value. Each month Hillvue hosts a 1st connection event in which we seek to bless our community. Our goal is that these random acts of kindness will serve as first connections to Jesus Christ.
One of the more well-known first connections events that Hillvue hosts is the Single Mothers' Oil Change. This is an event where we bless the single mothers in the community by changing their oil, washing cars, and other acts of service. Each year, we help hundreds of single mothers through the oil changes. In 2013, our Oil Changes will be Saturday, April 13th and Saturday, October 19th.
Other events include fan giveaways during the summer and laundromat visits where we help fold laundry and feed machines with quarters.
To find out more about how you can get involved, contact Jamie Ward at (270) 842-0012.
Also called the "Fellowship Ministry", this team takes pride in cooking meals as needed for special events at the church. Their primary regular event is the Wednesday night meal, which is served from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. each Wednesday. The meal is a convenient timesaver for people who attend on Wednesday night, and it's also a great way to meet others in the church. As of Fall 2013, we've adjusted our pricing. Instead of the adult/child plate pricing, we've simplified it to a flat $3 per person.
This ministry consists of people who enjoy knitting and/or crocheting who want to use their talents to bless others in the church. They create baby blankets for new babies in the church as well as lap robes and prayer shawls to encourage people who are going through deaths in the family, illnesses, divorces, or other life crises. Naturally, they spend a lot of time praying for the people that receive these, and the created items become a tangible, encouraging reminder of the love of Jesus and the church family.
If you'd like to get involved, you're invited to join in. The group meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month from 6:30 to 8. Many members contribute their own supplies, but yarn, hooks and needles are also available from the church. Contact Kathy Read for more information at .
Hillvue Heights Church believes that schools are a mission field and educators are missionaries. We also believe that educators need support and encouragement. The Fellowship of Christian Educators is for teachers (pre-service, retired, and current) and administrators serving in public or private schools.
We have partnered with Christian Educators Association International (CEAI), the only professional association specifically serving Christians in public schools. CEAI is an organization that encourages teachers to be ready at all times to openly live out their faith in the classroom and take advantage of every opportunity to allow God's truth to surface when appropriate.
