Hillvue Heights Church

We have many roles for volunteers to fill to make the Jesus Prom a successful, memorable night. Click any of the roles above to learn more about each need.

Greeters

This team will be primarily responsible for welcoming participants to the Jesus Prom. They will also make sure families know where to go, when to pick-up their participant, and answer any other questions people might have. They will also make sure participants get to the place they need to go upon their arrival and introduce them to their escorts.

Escorts

This team serve as the "dates" for participants during Jesus Prom. Upon arrival, the escorts will be paired with ONE Jesus Prom participant and will insure they are taken care of for the night. Escorts are expected to eat, dance, laugh, and thoroughly enjoy their time with Jesus Promers.

Registration

This team will be primarily responsible for checking-in the Jesus Prom participants and making sure they have their name tag and escort and Hillvue has their information. This team will also be responsible for checking-in and returning coats and jackets.

Beauty

This team will be responsible for providing hair, make-up, and shoe-shine services to the Jesus Prom participants as well as giving out the corsage for the evening.

Security

This team will provide security FOR the Jesus Prom participants to insure safety and allow everyone to have an awesome night.

Comfort

This team will be responsible for insuring that all participants are taken care of and shown the love of Jesus. This team will provide water at various water stations set up during the dance. They will also serve as restroom attendants to insure all Jesus Prom participants have assistance if needed and to restock any restroom supplies. We are also looking for deaf interpreters to serve any guest that might be hearing-impaired.

Medical

This team would be made up of nurses, doctors, or other medical professionals to be on-site during the Jesus Prom and be available if medical attention is required.

Photography

This team will be responsible for taking "formal" pictures of the Jesus Prom participants and their escorts, processing, and printing them out on site. This team will also serve as paparazzi during the arrival of all participants as well as be responsible for getting snapshots of the entire evening.

Entertainment

This team will be responsible for providing entertainment during the Jesus Prom including but not limited to music during the prom and any games we might do.

Decorating / Set Up

This team will set-up all aspects of the Jesus Prom including the beauty stations, dining area, and the dance floor. This team will also decorate for the Jesus Prom. (Note: The team MUST meet prior to the Jesus Prom)

Tear Down / Clean Up

This team will work with the facilities staff at Hillvue to insure the church is cleaned and ready to go for service the following Sunday.

Food Service

This team will be responsible for preparing and serving the meal during Jesus Prom and insuring all participant's nutritional needs are met.

Parking Attendants

This team will valet park any guests that arrive as well as make sure the parking lot is cleared so that Jesus Prom can function during the event.
