First Connections

One of Hillvue's core values is to passionately enjoy the ministry. First Connections is a fun way to fulfill this core value. Each month Hillvue hosts a 1st connection event in which we seek to bless our community. Our goal is that these random acts of kindness will serve as first connections to Jesus Christ.

One of the more well-known first connections events that Hillvue hosts is the Single Mothers' Oil Change. This is an event where we bless the single mothers in the community by changing their oil, washing cars, and other acts of service. During 2008, we helped more than 550 single mothers through the oil changes.

Other events include fan giveaways during the summer and laundromat visits where we help fold laundry and feed machines with quarters.
