The Encountering Jesus Weekend Retreat is an opportunity for you to set aside an entire weekend for reflection, community, personal and spiritual growth.  During this weekend, we will go to a nearby rustic retreat center and enjoy this time of growth and learning together.

 Since this is a retreat, you will be part of our community for the whole weekend.  It is an adult co-ed retreat and you will sleep in separate quarters.  The great thing about this weekend is that it gives you the time to slow down, enjoy God’s creation, share your life with others and come away refreshed and renewed in your relationship with God.  It is definitely an opportunity to encounter Jesus.

A typical schedule for the off site retreat goes like this:

Friday Night

• Meet at the church around 6PM and then caravan out to the retreat center.

• Have a supper snack and then begin our interactive talks and activities for the evening.

• Conclude around 10PM.

Saturday

• Begin with breakfast around 9:00

• Morning talks and activities

• Lunch

• Afternoon talks and activities

• Free Time for Personal Reflection and Community Building

• Evening Worship and Communion

• Conclude around 10:00 PM

Sunday

• Breakfast around 9:00

• Morning talks and activities

• Closing Celebration and Communion

• Arrive back at Hillvue by Noon

Since this is an off-site weekend, you will need to bring a few items with you:

• Comfortable Clothes for indoor and outdoor activities.

• Toiletries

• Bed Linens or Sleeping Bag and Pillow(s)

 There is only one offsite retreat on the schedule for 2006 and the cost for the weekend is $50.  The weekend is scheduled to meet in early November.
